James Nysather

James is the CEO and Founder of Global Business Parks, Inc. and is also a faculty member of Northwestern Polytechnic University, where he teaches marketing, organizational behavior, and ESL courses. From 1994 to 2009 he held Business / Corporate Development positions at UTStarcom and BASAY Tech Consulting. From 1989 to 1994 he taught ESL in China and Japan. He has lived in China and Japan for over 9 years and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Japanese. He resides in San Francisco with his wife and young son. Jim holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.S. in Marketing & East Asian Studies from St. Cloud State University.


Brian Payne

Brian brings academic experience and government service to the Board. He has taught management courses at the US Air Force Academy, earned a PhD in Finance (University of Nebraska) in 2010, earned a MPP (Harvard University), and earned a BS in Operations Research (Air Force Academy). Brian has also spent over 6 years as a Program Manager in the Air Force, working on aircraft avionics, fixed and mobile radars, and air-to-air missile programs. Brian is a Distinguished Graduate of Operations Research (OR) from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. He is a devoted husband and father of three.


Stephen J.K. Walters

Steve is a professor of Economics at Loyola University Maryland, where he was Distinguished Teacher of the Year in 2005. He has taught undergraduate and graduate business students for 28 years, including seminars on urban economics, industrial organization and regulation, and sports economics. He is the author of Enterprise, Government, and the Public (McGraw-Hill, 1993), numerous scholarly articles, and over a hundred general-interest articles in major daily newspapers and magazines. In addition, he has served as a consultant for diverse clients, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and two major league baseball teams.


Jared Greenberg

Jared is a futures trader, investor, and social activist. He is a former management consultant for Fortune 500 companies and is the co-founder of the Somaly Mam Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to ending human trafficking. He has been featured on the Tyra Banks Show, Fox News, Denver Post, Marie Claire Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, and several other national news show, newspapers, and magazines. Jared has studied at the University of Moscow and is a Distinguished Graduate of Management from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO.


Michele Pesula Kuegler

Michele provides both educational and leadership experience to the board. Michele holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and spent a decade teaching students in grades two through four. During her educational career, she also filled leadership roles during the school's reaccreditation process and served as a member of the student support and diagnostic team. Since then she has been the CEO of Wasabi Media Group, which is an emerging online publishing company.


Eva Holtz

Eva is an education entrepreneur specializing in test preparation. In addition to founding PrepPoint — a tutoring, test prep, and college advising consultancy serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area — she has developed Brightstorm's online SAT prep curriculum and designed educational software for IXL Learning, formerly Quia Corporation. Outside of the corporate world, she has worked as a Harvard Admissions aide and interviewer, tutored and mentored extensively, and presented to audiences on a variety of topics in the realm of education. After receiving perfect scores on the SAT and four SAT Subject tests, Eva went on to earn her B.A. at Harvard University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. She also holds a certificate in College Admissions Advising from UC Berkeley.
